Step 3: Enter your confirmation code here. Office 2007's installation gets a little more complicated from here. You'll be asked to type a confirmation code, usually found at the front of your CD jewel case. For instance, you could have "K2D643-5N4W8V-ND0PD3-FJUNX6" for Microsoft Office 2007 Home & Student Edition (US). Please enter the confirmation code in the section below and click Continue when you are finished typing it in. Remember to include any hyphens or periods if present within the code. Note: If you do not include periods within your confirmation code, you will be prompted with a warning and "The entry was not found in the list." You can then click Continue to continue installation. Office 2007 requires that you install the Office Customization Tool (OCT), which is a separate installer from the main product download. The ODT is an add-on component, under all of Office's add-ons. Run the setup again after rebooting. Choose Custom, then accept the license agreement if it is presented to you. On the Install button, select Install Office 2007 Language Pack only, then proceed. The ODT installer will install on your computer by itself without any interaction on your part. The main Office 2007 setup will be installed on its own separate partition within the Windows drive (C:\\Program Files (x86)\\GLOBAL\\OFFICE12). The ODT installer does not provide this information; however, if you wish to check it out, look for C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Microsoft Office 12 or O365 or something along those lines. The ODT will ask whether you wish to install the software on a network drive or a USB drive. Choose USB. Afterward, select Customize to begin the installation process. If a license agreement appears, read and accept it to continue with installation. On the next screen, choose Install Office 2007 Language Pack only and click Install. You may now proceed with activating or deactivating additional languages as desired or required by your organization. In addition, you can choose from pre-defined options such as checking for updates automatically.
